The FDA suggests that women prescribe a higher dose today, their medication should
continue to use,but consult their healthcare provider about reducing their dose to half
the risk of injury in the order of the damage.
"This announcement is at least a decade overdue," said Diana Zuckerman, chair of the
National Research Center for Women & Families ABCNews.com. "The FDA Communication
now saves lives, but the agency must do more to identify all Ambien risks and other types of sleep."
The FDA now says that it also investigates the effects of other sleep medications, and
requires companies to conduct studies to find out if different doses are needed for medication.
In response to the FDA announcement, Sanofi, the company that produces Ambien,
produces a statement to promote ongoing conversation with the agency in this regard:
"Sanofi is behind the vital clinical data that shows the safety and effectiveness of Ambien,
approved by the US FDA in 1992 and the 20-year use of the world and 22 billion patient
therapy worldwide in the US in 2005."
Pain and succession damage is noted for the effects of some medicines that fall asleep but the
risk increases when people combine their dose of other drugs or alcohol, or can not sleep
than recommended from seven to eight your time
